Yes, the year's most anticipated album is out!
M.I.A. does not fall short with her unprecedented beats and articulate lyrics.
Shes created a completely new range. It's unlike her previous albums. (which many artists seem to have a hard time creating something new and interesting.) And M.I.A. did exactly that. Each song on this album has its own unique vibe.
"XXXO" M.I.A.'s first single off the album, is super catchy with its pop feel.
"It takes a muscle" has a nice raggae skank to it. Not much to the lyrics, but still a good head-nod piece. "Born Free" intense and hardcore matched along perfectly with its gruesome story telling video. "Space" is beautifully composed- stimulating and tender.
"Teqkilla" and "Steppin Up" are definitely a favorite on the album. Got that great, hard electro feel that we all know and love.
Can't get enough!
Props to her, she has a beautiful family but she still stays on her grind.

All My Craze

Some know how much new wave, original, and outta big media music hits that little soft spot in me. Most the stuff I listen to needs a certain creative musical composure for me to appreciate it. And lately I've been really loving female artist. Watch out guys, ya'll are going on the back burner.

Florence and the machine- Sometimes it takes a stupidly long time for great British acts to make their name across the pond. The band builds symphonic, flowing rock around her beautiful alto. She reminds me of a mix of KT Tunstall, Feist, and a Shakira-ish voice. "Girl With One Eye" is by far the best song.

Entertainment At Its Best 2009

How awesome are video games now-a-days? Granted, I don't know the days of Atari or anything... but we are a spoiled ass age of humans.
Lets start with my favorite game of '09
Little Big Planet for PS3.

This game is freaking awwwesome for people of all ages. Basically, you are this little burlap sack rag doll, and you go through levels collecting all kinds of orbs. Some of which are filled with clothing options, others which have stickers in them. Now, while beating these levels with all their obstacles and challenges - there are also these conviently out of the way cardboard cut outs that you have to perfectly place a certain sticker on to get more orbs. This game also lets you build your own level... which is not something that youre gonna easily be able to conjure up. You do EVERYTHING.. from tweaking your own music (p.s. the music is this game is some real fun shit haha) to make EVERY single obstacle your own... Nerds, I hope you have a ton of time on your hands. OH, You can also use the axis joysticks to control the emotion of your lil guys, slap the other players and move your arms.

Super Mario Brothers for the Wii

Everyone know Mario... but not like this. The best part, you can play multiple players at the SAME TIME! AND for those who aren't so great at video games, theres this option where you can hop in a bubble and stay out of harms way while the other player toughs it out through a sticky situation. The only way you can get out of your bubble is to shake your control up and down making it move closer to the other player to pop it. However, if you both "accidently" get in your bubbles, you forfeit the level and have to start over, but you don't lose any lives. Now, there are a couple new deals in this game. There is a tiny mushroom which makes you tiny and able to run on water and jump really high which is hilarious. A mushroom that makes you HUGE and you can just plow through whatever the hell you want. You can also get a spinney hellicopter thing. Just shake you controller and away you go. Peguin suits, fireball flowers, ice cube flowers, and stars are just the usually.

Robbing the Makers.

I was recently made aware of a website (I won't name as to not send any attention in their direction. Haha.) which makes really good knock off bags and other accesories very similar to the real deal. You'd basically have to be a bag guru to tell the difference. AND for as low as $27.50! I'm at a loss for words. And I wonder how/if that effects the well off designers. However... the economy isn't so great now... and that price is looking real nice. I'm being spoiled, so I'm good on the bags. Hah
